Royal Society of Edinburgh - 'Digital Scotland' Consultation
The Royal Society of Edinburgh are seeking input to their consultation on the digital infrastructure issues facing Scotland. A copy of their consultation document can be accessed here. Inverness Chamber of Commerce invited its members to contribute before the 3 September deadline and a copy of the Chamber's subsequent response to the consultation on behalf of members can be found here.
Enterprise Network Inquiry
The Scottish Parliament's Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee has launched an inquiry into the impact of reforms to Scottish Enterprise and Highlands & Islands Enterprise. In view of the public sector budgetary challenges ahead, the inquiry will also consider the fundamental role (if any) of publicly-funded enterprise networks in growing the economy and what alternative models exist.
