Environment  (Conservation, Volunteering, Wildlife protection)

Trees for Life is a multi-award winning conservation charity at the forefront of efforts to restore Scotland’s ancient Caledonian Forest. Centuries of sustained deforestation has stripped the Highlands of a once vast and wild forest, but with the help of over 5,000 dedicated volunteers over the last 25 years, Trees for Life has planted over 1.5 million native trees in the Scottish Highlands to turn the tide in the forest’s favour. The charity’s tree planting provides a home for rare and iconic wildlife such as the red squirrel and the capercaillie, restoring a unique and wild landscape of international significance for generations to come.
