European Energy Announced as ICC Platinum Partner
European Energy has become a Platinum Partner of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce, marking a strong commitment to investment in Scotland during Brexit. European Energy is a Danish renewable energy developer, who made the decision to renter the UK renewables market earlier this year after a couple of years on the side-line.
The company’s initial focus will be on Scottish wind sites, with an aim to explore Solar PV and battery storage opportunities in the future. To lead the effort, Tom Harrison came on board earlier this year as European Energy’s UK Project Manager based in Inverness. Over a short period Tom has built a sizeable pipeline of projects for European Energy in Scotland.
Tom Harrison said:
“During a time of political uncertainty in the UK, I am excited to work for a company like European Energy who is willing to make a long-term commitment to the region. I am pleased to have the support of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce in expanding European Energy’s presence in the Scottish renewables market.”
Stewart Nicol, Chief Executive of Inverness Chamber of Commerce, commented, “I’m delighted to have European Energy as our latest Platinum Partner and look forward to working closely with them over coming years as they develop their presence in the Highlands. European Energy are clearly developing an innovative range of products and services and their commitment to the Highlands sends out an important message in these uncertain times. It is also great to see them recognise the value of engaging at this level with Inverness Chamber of Commerce; the region’s leading business organisation.”
