Inverness Chamber of Commerce exists to connect, support and represent our members and businesses across the Highlands.
Inverness Chamber of Commerce plays a key lobbying and campaigning role, as well as providing a full range of services and events for our members, including our Highlands & Islands Export Partnership which provides technical and export support services. We also host the DYW Inverness & Central Highland Programme aimed at bringing the region’s educational providers and employers together to meet the needs of our young people. Since the start of 2019 we have been delivering the Open4Business Highlands & Islands supply chain portal.
The successful candidate will possess strong financial management experience gained within a busy and dynamic business environment. Demonstrating strong working knowledge and experience of Sage and Excel packages, the Finance Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive on a daily basis and with the Chamber’s accountants as required. The Finance Manager will be responsible for all day to day management of invoicing, supplier payments and credit control along with compiling and updating a wide-ranging number of reports and spreadsheets which are used across the team to manage operational, project and financial progress. The Finance Manager will also have responsibility for preparing monthly management accounts for the Chamber’s senior management team and Board and for working with the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive to compile and update budgets and forecasts. This post is a key part of our hard-working and highly effective team. The role will have a significant input to the ongoing growth and development of Inverness Chamber of Commerce.
The working hours will be 9:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am – 4:30pm Friday. The salary for this position will be up to £30,000 per annum plus pension and personal health plan, depending on experience and qualifications.
