Member of the Week - BowHunter Archery

Located just 10 miles East of Inverness, Bowhunter Archery Activity Centre is the only dedicated Outdoor Field Archery Centre in the Highlands that welcomes Visitors of all Archery Abilities.  Each session is led by our friendly team of Archery GB Instructors and includes full instruction, equipment and insurance.  After over 20 years providing Archery at many venues and events, they decided to settle into our own woodland and have been providing fun Field Archery sessions to visitors from near and far for 5 years

We spoke to Andy & Liz MacKinnon, who are a husband and wife team. Andy takes care of all the Archery side and Liz takes care of everything else! Both are fully qualified Archery GB instructors and have practised field archers for many years. Liz’s background is administration and youth work, Andy's background is supporting children and young adults with additional needs. To support them during their busy periods, Liz and Andy have a number of long-term casual staff.

Liz and Andy were keen to take advantage of this member of the week campaign to raise awareness of who they are and what they do.

BowHunter Archery would like to promote their Corporate, team building Group sessions which are 2.5hrs of Archery fun. Careful Instruction is followed by a walk in the woods to shoot some of their fantastical targets. After a quick refreshment break (included in package) head out into the combat arena to safely shoot friends, colleagues or family.  Afterwards enjoy some social time with free use of their gas BBQ in their undercover picnic area.

BowHunter Archery will shortly be launching MacCraft Day 1 Survival Parties for ages 6 – teen, Basic Bushcraft skills with emphasis on fun and onsite shop for basic Archery equipment.

Liz told us about their business plans for over the next 12 months: “Continuing to expand Archery sessions and support the growth of Bushcraft skills, MacCraft Parties and our basic archery equipment shop.”

BowHunter Archery were also delighted to have received the 2018 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for their centre!

We asked Liz what BowHunter Archery values most about their membership: “The opportunity to connect with other businesses, share knowledge and support.”

Liz shared her top-tip with other chamber members to maximise their membership: “Involve your business as much as possible.”
