Ian & Elaine told us why they would like to feature as member of the week: “We are now 8 months on from the start-up and have just moved to our new office in the Crown. So far it has pretty much all gone to plan. We are enjoying a steady but sustainable growth, this is mostly from referrals, where small businesses who are having trouble with their new cloud accounting system are looking for help from an experienced team.”

Following the introduction of ‘Making Tax Digital for VAT’ which has pushed many businesses into using new accounting software Kelpie Accounting & Tax are coming across many small businesses where they have been setup on a Cloud Accounting system such as Xero, Quickbooks, or Freeagent but it is not working for them because it has been setup without sufficient training and supervision. Kelpie are always interested in helping small businesses who have moved to one of these accounting softwares and are having difficulties.

Ian & Elaine shared their upcoming business plans: “Our medium term plans are based on steady growth via referrals.”

We asked Ian & Elaine what has been most valuable to them from their Inverness Chamber membership: “The main benefit has been to meeting others sharing ideas and hearing what’s been going on elsewhere in the area. It’s also been very important for us just to get out and about and let people know what we do.”

Ian and Elaine gave their top-tip to help you maximise your chamber membership: “Write an article for ‘Industry News’ that might be helpful to other members, or the wider public.”
