Member of the Week - Muckle Media
Muckle Media is a full service, creative PR, marketing and social media agency, founded by Nathalie Agnew in 2012. In September 2015, Muckle Media acquired leading Highlands communications firm Platform PR, the acquisition was a significant milestone for Muckle Media and has increased the client base and skills of the team.
In just five years, Muckle Media has established itself as a leading Scottish PR agency, regularly pitching against larger, much longer-established companies and winning clients due to its reputation for delivering excellent results. Muckle Media has 16 employees in total; eight in Inverness and a further eight in the Edinburgh office.
Muckle Media supplies a range of services to businesses across the UK. Support is tailored to each of their clients’ needs but includes PR, marketing, social media, event management and video. Muckle Media recognises each client is different and so provide strategic communications plans to help businesses achieve their objectives.
We asked Nathalie Agnew, founder of Muckle Media, why they would like to feature as member of the week: “Muckle Media has been a member of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce for some time and is proud to work in a community with so many exciting businesses with huge opportunity for growth.”
Muckle Media works with a number of exciting clients but has most recently launched the North East 250; Scotland’s newest tourist route. The team worked with the client to develop business, political and stakeholder engagement strategies, communications plan and a launch strategy which included a huge media and social media outreach. The results have been overwhelming, with more than 100,000 website hits and 1,000 Facebook page ‘likes’ within 24 hours of launch.
As a media agency, Muckle Media knows it is important to embrace the latest trends and innovate to achieve the best results. Muckle Media has offered an in-house video service for a number of years but its importance is always increasing. Muckle Media can now offer video press releases to news media, as well as creating engaging and exciting content for websites and social media.
Nathalie shared with us Muckle Media’s plans over the next 12 months: “Achieve 50% year-on-year fee income growth; deliver three paid internships; secure placement in PR Week’s Best Places to Work; maintain high approval ratings from employee survey; further increase use of digital”.

We asked Nathalie what she appreciates most about Chamber membership: “The opportunity to network and meet both established and up-and-coming businesses in Inverness and the surrounding area”. Nathalie also provided her “top tip” to fellow Chamber members to maximise their membership: “Get out there! Go to networking breakfasts and connect with other Chamber members. Make sure you follow up on social media as well to keep the relationship going”.
