Member of the Week - Pat Munro Homes

Pat Munro Homes is a versatile home building company who have been established since 1969. Initially building in Alness where their Head Office is based, they have since grown and established the business in Dornoch and Munlochy.

A multi-discipline home builder, Pat Munro Homes build a multitude of different homes from assisted living, mainstream and affordable to their new bespoke Signature range.

We spoke to Hamish Little from Elgin who is one of six employees. Now head of Department at Pat Munro Homes, Hamish has worked there since he was just 20 years old in construction management, then in 2011 was made Development Manager and then Head of Department. Hamish lives himself in a Pat Munro home in Alness along with his four children.
Pat Munro Homes’ mainstream range in Munlochly has already taken off with reservations being made for their 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes.

Hamish said: “We can now offer a bespoke home build either on one of our plots within a development or on a customer’s own plot via our Signature range.”

Over the coming 12 months, Pat Munro Homes aims to grow their workforce and develop an Apprenticeship Scheme within the homes business. Pat Munro Homes are committed to investing in their staff and their continuous development.

Hamish said: “we are exploring new development locations, new house designs, and will continue to build sustainable homes for generations to come.”

Site manager for Pat Munro Homes, John Matthewson, was awarded an NHBC Pride in the Job Award last month for his work at Newfield, Alness. With a broad range of categories and more than 16,000 site managers competing, Pat Munro Homes were delighted to have their very own John Matthewson take home the Quality Award for achieving the highest standards across the industry.

Together with a team of skilled tradesmen and other management personnel, John has worked hard to ensure the successful delivery of high quality standards through all aspects and stages of the construction process.
We asked Hamish what Pat Munro Homes values most about their Chamber membership: “The opportunities to network and forge relationships giving a forum to share ideas”. Hamish added his ‘top-tip’ to other Chamber members to maximise their membership: “Get involved!”
